WE COMMIT OURSELVES TO THE MINISTRY OF EVANGELIZATION (Art 51, p.1)

Our Congregation has a history of undertaking the ministry of direct evangelization.  We:

1. Responded to a call and invitation from the Church to establish missions, which grew in time and became provinces (United States, Canada and Brazil).
2. Responded to having a Felician presence in new places that continue to grow in Kenya, Estonia, Ukraine, Russia, and Northwest Territory
3. Responded to the needs of the time until our presence was no longer needed or not able to continue for various reasons (Germany, Mozambique, Mexico)
4. Responded to individual sister’s requests  to minister in Felician missions of other provinces and participate in mission experiences

Presently, we:

1. Continue to support missions in Brazil (especially in the Amazon), Kenya, Estonia, Ukraine, Russia and Northwest Territory
2. Carry out new kinds of “missions” in Kingstree, North Carolina and Pomona, California
3. Provide mission evangelization experiences in Kamchatka, Kenya, and future plans to Amazon and the Northwest Territory
4. Educate, engage and encourage Sisters to seek new ways to respond to the contemporary needs for evangelization in the world, such as the refugees in Eilat, Israel.
5. Consider requests for Felician Franciscan presence and ministry in new territories throughout the world

On January 4, 1984, Lillian sat in the living room of her home in Dunkirk crying from the extreme pain and praying for relief. It was at that time that Lillian felt the presence of Mary Angela, experienced a beautiful sense of quiet and peace, and suddenly was well. Lillian suffered from diabetic neuropathy, a condition that was medically incurable.

Witam! Karibu! Dziękuję za odwiedziny na naszej “nowej i poprawionej” zgromadzeniowej stronie internetowej! Dostrzegacie nowy wizerunek strony, który będzie zachęcał, aby znów tu powrócić i być na bieżąco z tym wszystkim, co dotyczy życia sióstr na całym świecie. Mówiąc o całym świecie mam na myśli to, że Siostra Mary Cabrini i ja na początku września powróciłyśmy z Kenii, z trwającej ponad miesiąc wizyty u naszych sióstr na misjach. Było to doświadczenie pełne życia! Stąd też pozdrowienie w języku Swahili: Karibu! Witajcie!  - tak witano nas wszędzie tam, gdzie podróżowałyśmy w masywie Góry Kenia. Charyzmat ukochanej, Błogosławionej Marii Angeli, płonie tam mocno i jasno w sercach sióstr, nowicjuszek i postulantek. W uprzywilejowany sposób doświadczyłyśmy dotknięcia ogniem charyzmatu w Kenii, który na długo pozostanie w naszych sercach. Dotkliwa susza, której Kenia aktualnie doświadcza, uwzględniwszy fakt, że przez trzy ostatnie pory deszczowe nie spadła tam kropla deszczu, to kolejne niezatarte wspomnienie. W rezultacie roślinność jest znikoma, wyschły rzeki i strumienie, drogi są pełne kurzu, a bydło i kozy wycieńczone. Bolesnym doświadczeniem pozostaje obserwacja ludzi, którzy próbują przeżyć w tych warunkach. Proszę o modlitwę, by spadł deszcz – najpierw lekki, by mógł wsiąknąć w spieczoną ziemię, a potem obfity, by na nowo użyźnił czerwoną glebę Kenii.

Bem-Vindos! Karibu!  Obrigada por acessar nosso “novo e aperfeiçoado” website Congregacional!Observando o novo visual vocês se sentirão atraídas a acessar uma vez e mais outra vez  a fim de estar em contato com a vida de nossas irmãs ao redor do mundo.  E por falar ao redor do mundo, Irmã Maria Cabrini e eu retornamos no início de setembro de uma visita de quase um mês às nossas Irmãs na Missão em Quênia.  Que experiência de vida de doação!  Consequentemente com o Suaíle: Karibu! Bem-Vindas!  fomos  saudadas em todo lugar por onde viajamos no Monte Quênia. O carisma de nossa querida madre, a Bem-aventurada Maria Ângela é uma chama que arde vigorosa e brilhante nas Irmãs, nas Noviças e Postulantes de lá. Nossa experiência privilegiada de penetrar  nesta chama de nosso carisma em Quênia permanecerá por muito tempo em nossos corações.  O que também permanece é a memória indelével da seca extrema que Quênia experimenta nesses períodos durante os quais nas três últimas estações chuvosas o país não teve chuva. Como resultado a vegetação é escassa, rios e córregos secos, estradas empoeiradas, gado e rebanho caprino esqueléticos.  O que é mais doloroso ver é o povo tentando sobreviver em meio a esta seca.  Por favor, rezem para que chova – primeiro suavemente para penetrar no solo endurecido e depois abundantemente para reabastecer a terra vermelha de Quênia.
